POPS (stocks that jumped higher)
Priceline.com (PCLN) popped 14%. The internet travel agency popped after reporting better than expected results and increasing its outlook for the third quarter. You gotta love what William Shatner is doing for these guys, says Pete Najarian, however, it's probably ready for a pullback.
Barnes & Noble (GPS) popped 4%. You gotta loook at the technical chart, says Joe Terranova, it tells you to run for cover.
Hormel (HRL) popped 5%. The maker of SPAM meat popps after announcing that its earnings this year would be higher than expected because of improved results from its turky and refrigerated food units. Costs are cheaper, they're doing phenomenally well, says Pete Najarian.
DROPS (stocks that slid lower)
Best Buy (BBY) dropped 5%. Downgraded at Goldman Sachs today, it's been having trouble at the $41 level, Guy Adami sees the stock headed to 35.
Palm (PALM) dropped 6%. It's been down recently, and it looks to move lower from here, says Guy Adami.
VMWare (VMW) dropped 3%. The information technology firm dropped today after being cut to underperform from hold at Jefferies. - I think you can buy at this point, advises Joe Terranova.
Bank of Scotland (RBS) dropped 7%. The UK Bank dropped today after reporting a loss for the first half of the year that was wider than analyst expectations. - This stock is dead, says Tim Seymour.
