Eagles Sponsor Page Disappearance Explained

At some point on Saturday morning, as I reported on my Twitter page, the list of “corporate partners” on the Eagles Web site not only disappeared, the actual link which I saved on my computer had all the logos deleted from it.

An hour later, the list was back up without any explanation from the team.

At first, I thought it was the team’s way of protecting the sponsors from the fallout from the Vick signing.

It took me until this morning to realize that the list wasn’t the same. The original list had 44 sponsors. The current list? 43. Who’s missing? The American Red Cross.

"We shouldn't have been on that page to begin with, since we're not a corporate sponsor," said Stephanie Millian, a spokesperson for the organization, who said the American Red Cross asked the Eagles to move its logo to a community page.

The Red Cross recently sponsored the 2nd annual Eagles Training Camp Blood Drive, which resulted in fans donating more than 850 units of blood.
