The Chip Trade w/ National Semiconductor

Chip makers helped give the Nasdaq a boost on Thursday after ASML and Texas Instruments both raised sales forecasts.

Investors took the results as another sign that consumers are buying more gadgets.

Then, after-hours National Semiconductor posted stronger-than-expected results and CEO Brian Halla told Fast Money that he "continues to see momentum" yet shares fell.
