Look to investing in high quality stocks in this type of market environment, said Donald Yacktman, president and co-CIO of Yacktman Asset Management. He shared his market strategy and stock picks with investors.
“Our strategy is putting a forward rate of return on everything and looking at the quality levels,” said Yacktman. “Although we only own equities or equity-like return items, it’s really like buying a bond. When the spreads open wide enough, then we’re willing to go to a lower-grade bond. Which is what we like to do. So we adjust accordingly.”
Yacktman said he doesn’t see the economy “roaring ahead” from this point, but suggested the following stocks for investors to consider.
