] are in talks to spin off GE's NBC Universal, parent of CNBC, into a new company that would be merged with the content assets of Comcast. Per David's report (see details here), Comcast would be seeking 51% economic control of the new entity and would have to contribute cash in order to have that level of equity.
So what might NBC be worth? As an employee of NBC Universal, the answer of course is "priceless". However, for the rest of the investing universe, here are some multiples for similar media companies that might shed some light on how to value a company like NBC. Keep in mind, proforma growth expectations, synergies and deal premiums will affect these numbers.
