Harsco gets multimillion-dollar supply deal

HARRISBURG, Pa. - Harsco Corp. on Thursday signed a multimillion-dollar supply contract with a major U.S. asphalt shingle manufacturer.

Details of the deal were not disclosed.

The industrial services company said it expects the deal to add to its market share in 2010 and beyond.

Harsco's Minerals division will supply a full range of roofing granules to the customer's plant locations across the U.S. for use in the making of asphalt shingles.

Shares of Harsco added 51 cents to close at $36.83.
