NEW YORK, Oct 29 (Reuters) - Some U.S. stocks to watch on Thursday: PROCTER & GAMBLE CO, $58.16, up 1.6 pct The Dow component reported its first-quarter results and raised its sales outlook for the current quarter and full year. The company also increased the low end of its 2010 profit. AETNA INC, $25.32, Wednesday close The company reported third-quarter earnings that beat expectations but said its full-year profit would come in at the low end of its previous view. COLGATE-PALMOLIVE CO, $77.68, Wednesday close The company reported third-quarter earnings that beat expectations by a penny and forecast double-digit profit growth in 2010. SPRINT NEXTEL CORP, $3.25, up 0.3 pct The company reported a third-quarter loss that widened from the prior year, and revenue that fell more than expected. MOTOROLA INC, $8.38, up 5.3 pct The company swung to a third-quarter profit and forecast fourth-quarter earnings above expectations. LINCOLN NATIONAL CORP, $22.25, Wednesday close The company late Wednesday posted a third-quarter profit, following three quarters of losses. The company was helped by a gain from the divestiture of a unit in the quarter. MOODY'S CORP, $24.62, Wednesday close The company reported third-quarter earnings that beat expectations and revenue that rose on a pick-up in corporate bond issuance. NEWMONT MINING CORP, $41.50, Wednesday close The company reported third-quarter earnings that doubled from the prior year and topped expectations, helped by higher gold prices and sales. BARRICK GOLD CORP, $34.58, Wednesday close (U.S. shares) The company reported adjusted third-quarter earnings that rose from the prior year, while revenue was up almost 12 percent. BURGER KING HOLDINGS INC, $17.29, Wednesday close The company reported first-quarter earnings that missed expectations, and same-store sales that were down 2.9 percent.
