LEBANON, Tenn., Oct 29, 2009 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- As the holidays approach, you can rely on Cracker Barrel Old Country Store(R) to make things easier and more comfortable for you and your family. Cracker Barrel's Holiday Seasonal offerings will provide you with the opportunity to enjoy a break from all the bustle and activity by sitting down to one of its delicious and satisfying meals. And you can also bring some of this comfort home to family and friends with Cracker Barrel's traditional country hams, sugar-cured hams, and fresh-baked whole pies in four appealing flavors.
Breakfast Feature -- Served All Day! So you can feel ready for a busy day as the holidays approach, Cracker Barrel is offering its pleasing Holiday Breakfast Sampler. Celebrate all the season has to offer by enjoying two eggs, cooked to order, hickory-smoked bacon, a sausage patty and your choice of country ham or sugar-cured ham with Cracker Barrel guest-favorite hashbrown casserole, and delicious fried apples. This comes with sawmill gravy, grits, and, just for the holidays, your plate includes a sweet cinnamon biscuit -- one of Cracker Barrel's signature made-from-scratch biscuits, cut in half, and baked with a cinnamon sugar glaze. The sweet cinnamon biscuit is a Cracker Barrel tradition that dates back many a year.
If you want something lighter as you prepare to navigate the day, try the Fresh Fruit n' Yogurt Breakfast, a fresh new favorite. It features low-fat yogurt topped with honey oat granola mix with pecans and almonds and is served with a cranberry orange muffin, fresh pineapple chunks hand cut in the Cracker Barrel kitchen, orange slices, a whole Gala apple, two farm fresh eggs cooked any way you like them, and thick-sliced hickory smoked bacon or turkey sausage patties.
The full breakfast is $6.99 or for those looking for something lighter, try the fresh fruit n' yogurt platter by itself for $5.99.
Lunch/Dinner Features -- Served Daily Starting at 11 a.m.
In keeping with the spirit of holidays and memories, Cracker Barrel is featuring one of its traditional dishes -- the popular Roast Beef Dinner. Traditions make this time of year so memorable, and that's why Cracker Barrel has prepared their thick-cut USDA Choice chuck roast the same way for years. It's slow roasted in the "pot roast" tradition with care and attention until you can cut it with a fork, and it's served covered with delicious beef gravy and your choice of three country vegetables, plus biscuits or corn muffins.
Or try the Applefest Grilled Chicken Salad, which is a fresh and festive salad that starts with marinated grilled chicken tenderloin on a bed of hand-torn iceberg and romaine lettuce. Then Cracker Barrel adds hickory smoked bacon, honey-glazed pecans, dried cranberries, and chunks of Gala apples. It's topped with blue cheese crumbles and served with a side of apple cider vinaigrette, all for $7.99.
After your meal, make the holidays a little sweeter with a slice of a fresh baked Cracker Barrel pie topped with Vanilla Bean Ice Cream. Four delicious flavors are available: Pecan, Chocolate Pecan, Apple Pecan Streusel, and No Sugar Added Apple (with No Sugar Added Ice Cream). You can also take home a whole pie or give one as a gift to help celebrate the holidays. Pies are available through December 24th.
You can carve out more time for family and friends by bringing home a Cracker Barrel Ham, Traditional Country Ham, or Sugar-Cured Ham; just heat and serve so you spend less time in the kitchen and more time with your family and friends.
While you're at Cracker Barrel for a satisfying meal, think about getting some of your holiday shopping done. You can select hams, whole pies, and gift baskets for family and friends. There are three different gift baskets of Cracker Barrel food products that start at $14.99, and you can also select whatever items you'd like from the Cracker Barrel retail store to make your own custom basket.
Cracker Barrel offers free gift wrapping and will take care of shipping your gifts anywhere you want them sent so you don't have to do all that packing and carrying yourself. All of this is to make the holidays a little easier for you! Cracker Barrel will be offering these special meals at all locations from November 2 through January 3.
