U.S. WCoast Products - Gasoline dives, diesel steady

HOUSTON, Oct 29 (Reuters) - Gasoline fell sharply while diesel held steady on California refined products markets Thursday as New York Harbor futures soared. In Los Angeles, unleaded ethanol-blend CARBOB gasoline for November delivery sold down 4 cents at 4.0 and 5.5 cents per gallon over December NYMEX RBOB gasoline, which gained 3.26 cents to $2.0190. San Francisco market November CARBOB was heard selling 8 cents under L.A. November L.A. ultra-low sulfur diesel bargained a half-cent stronger in a bid-offer spread at 0.5 cents against 2.25 cents over NYMEX December heating oil, which climbed 5.73 cents to $2.0542 a gallon. Los Angeles November CARB diesel traded for 1.5 cents a gallon over December NYMEX heating oil, unchanged. San Francisco Bay CARB diesel bid at 1 cent under and offered at 1 cent over NYMEX heating oil, also unchanged. November L.A. jet fuel offered 0.5 cents stronger at 3.75 cents over NYMEX heating oil against bids at 2.5 cents over. In the Portland, Oregon, market, unleaded gasoline sold 1.5 cents weaker at a half cent over NYMEX RBOB.
