Noble Corporation Announces Results of Shareholder Vote

ZUG, Switzerland, Oct 29, 2009 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- Noble Corporation (NYSE: NE) today announced that Gordon T. Hall, age 50, and Jon A.

Marshall, age 57, were elected as members of the Company's Board of Directors.

Hall, who becomes a member of the class of directors whose terms expire in 2010, serves as Chairman of the Board of Exterran Holdings, Inc., a natural gas compression and production services company. Marshall, who becomes a member of the class of directors whose terms expire in 2011, most recently served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Transocean, an offshore driller. Mr.

Hall will serve as a member of the Audit Committee of the Board and Mr. Marshall will serve as a member of the Compensation Committee of the Board. In addition, shareholders approved the amendment and restatement of the Noble Corporation 1991 Stock Option and Restricted Stock Plan effective as of October 29, 2009.

The shareholder vote was held at an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders convened today in Singapore.
