NEW YORK, Oct 30 (Reuters) - NYSE Euronext, parent of the New York Stock Exchange, said on Friday an interruption in quote dissemination on the NYSE and in the NYSE Amex cash equities trading that occurred earlier had been resolved. An NYSE spokesman said the quote delays were not impacting trading.
"Trades are still going through," Ray Pellecchia told Reuters. The NYSE said in subsequent system status notification: "All quote dissemination processing in all alphabetic symbol ranges has been restored and is functioning normally in the NYSE & NYSE Amex cash markets." According to the NYSE, the delays followed "an inordinate influx" of orders received as Friday's trading session got underway. Pellecchia said the cause of the problem was under investigation.
