Continental adding 3 new routes Sunday
Carrier to start nonstop routes to Frankfurt, D.C., Edmonton, Alberta
HOUSTON - Continental Airlines Inc. will start flying on three new nonstop routes from Houston and aims to increase connections to one of its new alliance partner carriers.
Beginning Sunday, Continental will launch daily nonstop service from Houston to Frankfurt, Washington's Dulles International Airport, and Edmonton, Alberta.
Frankfurt is the largest hub of Germany's Lufthansa AG, a member of the Star Alliance that Continental joined this week. The move will increase the destinations that Continental customers can reach through Lufthansa's routes from Frankfurt.
