U. S. Steel Gary Works Holds Informational Open House on 2009 Draft NPDES Permit

United States Steel Corporation (NYSE: X) will be hosting an open house to provide information to the community regarding the 2009 draft National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit for U. S. Steel Gary Works that is currently available for public comment. The open house is scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2009 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., at the Indiana University Northwest Library Conference Center.

Among those scheduled to provide information at the open house are Sharon Owen, general manager of the U. S. Steel Gary Works, members of the U. S. Steel environmental affairs, safety and industrial hygiene and engineering teams.

Parking for the open house will be available in the campus parking lots located north and south of 33rd Avenue, west of Broadway.
