PLEASANTON, Calif., Nov 03, 2009 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- AlarmPoint Systems, provider of the leading Alert Management platform, today announced a global telecommunications provider was able to save over $1 million in the first year of implementation by consolidating 50 redundant notification systems, significantly reducing costs and improving operational effectiveness across the enterprise.
In addition to the rapid savings gained from consolidating multiple systems, the Provider also reallocated technical staff to more value-added areas of the organization resulting in another $350,000 in additional efficiencies.
AlarmPoint's out-of- the-box, real-time interaction with IBM Tivoli Netcool allowed the Provider to automate and simplify the dispatch, assignment and alerting process by targeting information to the recipients who were most able or likely to assist in resolving the issue.
In the second phase of implementation, the Provider retired three additional legacy systems and significantly reduced labor costs by automating manual tasks that were previously performed in Network Operations.
The Provider is planning to expand AlarmPoint to more areas of the organization as well as to their field teams and commercial customers. Current plans call for expanding their user base by 25,000 users in 2010. For more information about how AlarmPoint customers improve operational efficiency, visit www.alarmpoint.com/resourcecenter.
