(For large-cap stocks to watch, click on) Nov 4 (Reuters) - Some small and midcap stocks to watch on Wednesday: PACER INTERNATIONAL, $3.38, up 25 pct The company posted a surprise third-quarter profit and said it has signed new arrangements with Union Pacific. BIG 5 SPORTING GOODS CORP closed at $15.50 The company reported better-than-expected results and forecast a fourth-quarter profit above estimates. STEC, $16.255, down 30 pct The company warned that a key customer, EMC Corp, would carry 2009 inventory into 2010, putting Stec's first quarters results at risk. DIGITAL RIVER, $23.82, up 6 pct The company posted better-than-expected quarterly results and expects to exit 2010 with revenue growth in the upper teens. MYRIAD GENETICS, closed at $25.64 The company's first-quarter profit missed Wall Street estimates. TRUE RELIGION APPAREL, $23.02, down 13 pct The company quarterly profit missed estimates for the first time in a year, and gave a full-year forecast below expectations. CHARLES RIVER LABORATORIES, $34, down 8 pct The company posted a 18 percent drop in quarterly profit, and cut its 2009 earnings forecast. REHABCARE GROUP, $19.50, up 5 pct The physical rehabilitation services provider said it agreed to merge with privately held Triumph HealthCare. GENVEC, $1.03, up 29 pct The company said FDA granted orphan drug status to its experimental pancreatic cancer treatment. THOMAS PROPERTIES GROUP, $2.70, up 25 pct The company postponed its previously announced public offering of 22 million shares of common stock citing unfavorable market conditions. AMERICAN CAPITAL LTD, $3.30, up 22 pct The struggling private-equity lender agreed with lenders to restructure its credit facility.
