SOUTHFIELD, Mich., Nov 04, 2009 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- Parrot, a global leader in wireless devices for mobile phones, announces its expanded Certified Installer Program (CIP) with enhanced features including specialized training, enhanced support and promotional programs.
Now a year old, Parrot's Certified Installer Program is designed to help the company's authorized independent 12-volt retailers compete, sell and install car kits more profitably. Under the program, Parrot retailers gain access to special selling tools, installation support, exclusive POS materials and promotion programs in return for ensuring their sales and installer teams are up to speed on Parrot products.
To help retailers sell to this broad customer base, Parrot's Certified Installer Program focuses on strengthening the relationship between Parrot and the installer and enhancing the consumer's shopping experience through expanded retailer sales training and POS support. In addition, new tools and programs are available for installers to install Parrot car kits quickly and easily without compromising quality.
To provide additional support to its CIPs, Parrot named Bryan Spears as CIP manager. With a solid background in fabrication and electronics, Spears has held positions such as Master Installer at Street Legal Customs, one of metro Detroit's premium automotive custom shops.
"Bryan is bringing our 400+ certified installers to our strengthened 2010 certification assessment while certifying additional installers from our list of authorized dealers," said Kelly Zachos, director of marketing North America for Parrot. "We're confident that Bryan will take our Certified Installer Program to the next level and expand our reach in North America." In addition, the company has announced its Certified Installer Program (CIP) of the Year in the "Parrot takes you to SEMA" contest.
Parrot's SEMA promotion is designed to commemorate its one-year anniversary of the Certified Installer Program, which was announced at last year's SEMA Show in Las Vegas. The winner, Rob Liebhaber of Muntz Audio Video in Appleton, Wis., wins accommodations, two show passes to SEMA and will have the award presented at the Mobile Electronics Magazine Industry Awards dinner.
With many options available, Parrot provides the most comprehensive suite of Bluetooth products for drivers, from installed car stereos with a hidden iPod compartment to cordless hands-free kits that slide onto a visor. Parrot's hands-free kits combine style, function and a wide range of price points to fit every budget.
