Managed care stocks raced out of the trading gate a day after the Senate's top Democrat signaled that Congress may miss a year-end deadline for passing health care legislation.
Shares of slot machine makers and casino operator Penn National Gaming Inc. climbed after Ohio voters approved the addition of four casinos, which will mean more business for the companies.
