NEW YORK, Nov 5 (Reuters) - Some U.S. stocks to watch on Thursday: TOYOTA MOTOR CORP, $79.46, Wednesday close (U.S. shares) The company reported a surprise second-quarter profit and halved its full-year operating loss forecast. RESEARCH IN MOTION LTD, $59.09, up 2.6 pct The company's board authorized a stock buyback program of $1.2 billion.
About 21 million shares will be bought under the program, which represents about 3.6 percent of the company's current outstanding shares. CIGNA CORP, $29.78, Wednesday close The company reported third-quarter earnings that beat expectations, though revenue was down from the prior year. METROPCS COMMUNICATIONS INC, $7.05, up 6.5 pct The company reported third-quarter earnings and sales that beat expectations, though it cut its subscriber and EBITDA outlook for the year. DOW CHEMICAL CO, $23.67, Wednesday close Dow Chemical and Shenhua Group, China's largest coal miner, will reportedly move ahead with their planned $10 billion coal-to-chemical project in Shaanxi province after a delay of at least one year. DR PEPPER SNAPPLE GROUP INC, $28, up 0.6 pct The company reported adjusted third-quarter earnings that beat expectations and raised the bottom end of its full-year profit outlook range. CVS CAREMARK CORP, $35.78, down 1 pct The company reported adjusted third-quarter earnings that beat expectations and narrowed its full-year profit view to the higher end of its earlier range. TIME WARNER CABLE INC, $40.05, Wednesday close The company reported third-quarter earnings that beat expectations by a penny while revenue rose more than expected. THOMSON REUTERS CORP, $32.35, Wednesday close The company reported adjusted third-quarter earnings that beat expectations and affirmed its full-year outlook. NASDAQ OMX GROUP INC, $18.20, Wednesday close The company reported adjusted third-quarter earnings that met expectations while revenue fell from the prior year. SARA LEE CORP, $11.79, up 3.4 pct The company reported first-quarter earnings that rose from the prior year, helped by changes in commodity contract values. MF GLOBAL LTD, $6.68, Wednesday close The company reported adjusted second-quarter earnings that missed expectations, while exchange traded volume was down 21 percent. PRESTIGE BRANDS HOLDINGS INC, $6.83, Wednesday close The company reported second-quarter earnings that beat expectations while sales came in slightly below consensus. ORBITZ WORLDWIDE, $5.41, Wednesday close The company swung to a third-quarter profit while revenue fell from the prior year. COSTCO WHOLESALE CORP, $58.81, Wednesday close The company reported October same-store sales that rose more than expected.
