Discount store sales comparisons for October
NEW YORK - Summary of sales at stores open at least a year in October for discount chains, with percentage increase or decrease over the same month last year.
These sales are a key indicator of a retailers' health because they exclude sales at newly opened stores. Wal-Mart Stores Inc. no longer reports figures on a monthly basis.
