"This is a positive reaction of the market which was surprised by Gorenje's good result in the third quarter. We can now expect the company will end 2009 in positive figures although close to zero," said Sasa Cernel of Raiffeisen Bank. Gorenje earned a net profit of 3.4 million euros in the third quarter, reducing the loss in the first nine months of this year to 14.6 million euros, down from 18 million in the first half of the year. marja.novak.reuters.com@reuters.net ($1=.6722 Euro) 0908 GMT 06Nov2009 - Koza Anadolu jumps on higher reserves -------------------------------------------------------------- Turkish gold miner Koza Anadolu, the top traded stock on the Istanbul Stock Exchange, jumps 8.5 percent to 4.32 lira after preliminary conclusions of a study showed its confirmed gold reserves were 8.1 million ounces at the end of September, up from confirmed reserves of 2.6 million ounces at the end of 2007. The new reserve figure could be used in a potential initial public offering for unit Koza Gold, in which Koza Anadolu holds a minority stake indirectly, said Sinan Goksen of Istanbul-based Ekspres Invest. "They usually release their figures for the end for the year, around March, but this figure could be positive in a potential IPO," said Goksen. Koza said in September it had started preliminary work for possible share offering of their unit, gold miner Koza Altin Isletmeleri. rm://thomas.grove.reuters.com@reuters.net COPYRIGHT Copyright Thomson Reuters 2009.
