MADRID, Nov 6 (Reuters) - Spain's competition regulator said on Friday it was launching a probe into possible anti-trust practices in the country's electricity sector and had already searched the headquarters of the sector association Unesa. Unesa groups Spain's five leading electricity distributors. "The CNC has inspected the Unesa headquarters ... for suspected anti-competitive practices in the design and coordination of strategies ...
particularly with regard to fresh competition in electricity markets," it said in a statement. If any wrongdoing is found, companies could face a fine of up to 10 percent of their total business volume during the earnings quarter prior to the fine.
