WHITE PLAINS, N.Y., Nov 06, 2009 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) will again be participating in Gap Inc.'s Give & Get program, which in its first two campaigns this past spring and summer, garnered more than $1 million to support LLS's blood cancer research funding and patient education and support services.
During the campaign, taking place from November 12th to 15th, Gap Inc. will issue downloadable 30% discount coupons participants can use (in-store only) at all Gap Inc. stores, which include Gap, Banana Republic and Old Navy. LLS is among several charities to benefit -- the participants can select the charity of their choice, and 5% of their net purchase will go to that charity.
The coupons can be used as many times as you choose to shop during the days of the promotion and can be shared with as many people as you wish. They are good in stores in both the United States and Canada.
"Why wait for Black Friday to kick off your holiday shopping when you can get great discounts during the Gap Give & Get program and also help blood cancer patients live better, longer," said Nancy L. Klein, LLS chief marketing and revenue officer. To learn more about the Gap's Give & Get program benefiting LLS please visit http://www.gapinc.com/giveandget/lls/.
For its Holiday campaign, LLS is featuring the story of Matthew Donnelly, who was diagnosed with acute lymphocytic leukemia when he was 2 1/2 years old.
Matthew and his family participated in both the spring and summer Give & Get campaigns and know first hand how important the LLS coupon is for the fight against blood cancers. You can read more about Matthew's story on the @LLS Blog.
