Motorola's unparalleled knowledge of IPTV delivery gives us the confidence that we'll have a scalable and flexible platform that will allow us to continue to evolve our product offering as our business grows. Our engineering team has worked very closely with Motorola to be aligned with the project for successful deployment to our subscribers." "Farmers Telephone's business objectives have outgrown its existing platform," added Kevin Wirick, corporate vice president and general manager, Motorola IPTV Solutions, Motorola Home & Networks Mobility business. "The Telephone's cooperative strategy demands a fully featured, integrated solution that can be rolled out in an aggressive timeframe. The implementation at Farmers will draw on Motorola's extensive experience in deploying IPTV solutions from the digital headend to customer premises equipment, including Motorola's VIP Series set-tops. This latest deployment at Farmers Telephone will additionally leverage Motorola's already deployed MPEG-4 SD and HD encoders along with Motorola's integrated receiver/ decoders (IRDs).
