Automatic Data raises cash dividend by a penny

ROSELAND, N.J. - Automatic Data Processing Inc. said Tuesday it will raise its quarterly cash dividend a penny, to 34 cents per share.

The dividend will be distributed Jan. 1 to shareholders of record on Dec. 11.

Automatic Data sells payroll, tax and benefits products to businesses.

The shares rose 11 cents to $43.06 in afternoon trading.
