HOUSTON - Bristow Group Inc. said Tuesday its board of directors has expanded to 10 members from eight with the election of two new directors — Bruce H. Stover and Ian Godden.
The provider of helicopter services to the offshore energy industry also said John M. May was elected to replace Jonathan H. Cartwright, who resigned as of Nov. 4.
Stover has been named to the board's compensation committee and May to the audit committee. Both have joined the board already. Godden, whose election is effective Jan. 1, will join the corporate governance and nominating committee.
Stover, 60, is executive vice president for business development at natural gas and crude oil company Endeavour International Corp.
Godden, 55, recently was named chairman of A5/8D5/8S , a trade organization that represents the civil aviation, space, defense and security industries in Britain, and chairman of Farnborough International, which runs an international air show.
May, 54, is executive director of Caledonia Investments PLC, one of Bristow's largest shareholders. He also is chairman of Amber Chemical Co. Ltd. and a director of Begbies Traynor Group PLC, British Empire Securities and General Trust Ltd., Oval Ltd., Rathbone Brothers PLC and Satellite Information Systems Ltd.
Shares of Bristow Group slid 45 cents to close at $34.
