Alliant Techsystems gets $21M Army deal
MINNEAPOLIS - Alliant Techsystems Inc. received a $21 million contract from the Army to supply nonstandard weapon systems for security forces of Afghanistan, the company said Wednesday.
The weapon systems will be produced at ATK's Small Caliber Systems unit in Independence, Mo. This is ATK's third contract from the Army to supply weapons to Afghanistan.
Shares of ATK added 26 cents to $83.36 in afternoon trading.
