ROME, Nov 16 (Reuters) - Italian EU-harmonized consumer prices (HICP) rose 0.4 percent month-on-month in October, with the year-on-year inflation rate edging down to +0.3 percent from September's +0.4 percent, official statistics agency ISTAT said on Monday, marginally revising down preliminary data. ISTAT's preliminary estimate issued on Oct 30 had pointed to +0.5 pct m/m, +0.4 pct y/y. The main domestic price index (NIC), was up 0.1 pct m/m, +0.3 pct y/y, confirming preliminary data. ISTAT gave the following details.
