TD Ameritrade Oct. trades rise 2 percent from 2008
OMAHA, Neb. - Online brokerage TD Ameritrade Holding Corp. said Monday its average client trades per day grew 2 percent to 420,000 in October compared with the same month a year ago.
However, last month's total was down 3 percent from September 2009.
Client assets totaled about $297.3 billion as of Oct. 31, up 23 percent from the same time a year ago, when plunging markets sharply reduced values of stocks and other assets. But October's figure is down 2 percent from the end of September.
