ICAP Interdealer broker ICAP said Mark Beeston will join as business development director for post trade services, a new post. Since 2005, Beeston has been president of T-Zero, a subsidiary of Creditex Group Inc. Prior to that, he worked at Deutsche Bank in London. EVOLUTION GROUP PLC Investment bank and private client investment management group Evolution Group Plc appointed Philip Howell as chief executive of its investment management subsidiary, Williams de Broe Ltd, effective from early 2010. HSBC BANK AUSTRALIA HSBC Bank Australia appointed Tony Cripps as head of Global Banking and Markets in Australia. ORCHARD CAPITAL PARTNERS Asia-focused hedge fund manager Orchard Capital Partners appointed Alex Lin as its senior portfolio manager. NIKKO ASSET MANAGEMENT Asset Management firm Nikko Asset Management (Nikko AM), appointed Michael Herring as chief financial officer and chief operating officer of its U.S. operations. FUTURE CAPITAL PARTNERS Alternative investment boutique Future Capital Partners appointed Andrew Derrington to its business development team. RELIANCE MUTUAL INSURANCE SOCIETY LTD Reliance Mutual Insurance Society Limited (Reliance Mutual) appointed Wai Au as non-executive director. She would be taking over as the chair of the company's Audit and Risk Committee when Jack Cain retires at the next AGM in May 2010. CLOSE BROTHERS CORPORATE FINANCE Independent corporate finance advisers Close Brothers Corporate Finance (CBCF) appointed Tod Kersten as managing director to head its newly opened Warsaw office. INVESTMENT SOLUTIONS Investment Solutions appointed David de Bruin as chief executive of its operations in Britain. NEWTON INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT Newton Investment Management appointed Simon Pryke as head of its Private Investment Management (PIM) division.
