Jack in the Box names COO from within

SAN DIEGO - Jack in the Box Inc. said Monday it promoted its vice president of operations, Leonard Comma, to be its chief operating officer effective Feb. 1.
In September, the company, based in San Diego, had announced that Paul Schultz would retire as COO on Jan. 31.
Comma first joined Jack in the Box in 2001.
Shares rose 54 cents to $19.94 in afternoon trading.
