ETFs By The Numbers
Bob Pisani has provided coverage from the world's biggest ETF conference this week. More than 800 people are attending this 3rd annual conference - double the number of participants from the first conference back in 2008.
Having gained tremendous popularity particularly over the past 5 years, the ETF industry is now a big business, with assets under management expected to crack $1 trillion sometime this year and the number of ETFs to break 1,000 as well. That's certainly a far cry from when the very first ETF, SPDR S&P 500 (SPY), was launched back in 1993.
Take a look at some other impressive tidbits on the size and scope of the industry today.
