As of mid-day today, the Dow is up over 1% but still down nearly 5% from its highest close of the year (a 15-month high) reached on January 19. So will Mardi Gras help the U.S. Indexes rebound to new monthly highs? Unfortunately in this this case, it's only wishful thinking as stocks historically tend to downtrend on Mardi Gras.
