Former Vice President Dick Cheney has been admitted to George Washington University Hospital in Washington after suffering from chest pains, NBC News has learned.
Two doctors at the hospital said that Cheney is stable but may have additional treatment tomorrow. "We don't know what the plan is," said one.
Cheney had an angiogram to allow doctors to look in his coronary arteries, and further treatment is possible.
A family member said Cheney is resting comfortably while doctors continue to evaluate his condition.
No further information was immediately available.
