There’s Something You Should Know About March 9th

There’s a great deal of chatter on the Street that suggests we could see a lot of profit taking on or near the bull market’s one year anniversary.
Why?
Taxable gains matter to people,” explains Gary Kaminksy. Investors may be holding stocks now to qualify for long-term taxable gains, which are taxed at a much lower rate, than those held for the short-term.
(To be considered a “long term” capital gain, an asset must be held for more than one year, in other words, for at least a year and a day.)
After March 9th they may qualify - and, as a result, look at the winners they picked up at or near the bottom and decide to sell, says Kaminksy.
So which stocks outperformed from the March lows and could sell-off short term? The Fast Money traders suggest:

The idea here is that investors will say to themselves, "what are names I was smart enough to buy. And where should I trim," Kaminksy says.
