Calls Of The Day: Commodities, BlackRock & More

Find out what top analysts are saying about commodities, BlackRock and more. How should you be positioned, now?

COMMODITY OUTLOOK

On Wednesday Goldman Sachs raised its 12-month forecast for a slew of commodities including aluminum, zinc and gold noting that improving fundamentals for much of the complex will lead to further strength going forward. However, it’s worth noting that the firm cut its copper outlook marginally.

What should you make of it?

Goldman has been spot on when it comes to commodities, says Joe Terranova.

BLACKROCK

Credit Suisse raised BlackRock to "outperform" from "neutral" and added it to its U.S. focus list, on higher earnings expectations from its assets under management (AUM).

The brokerage said the big asset management firm was best-positioned to benefit from three drivers of AUM growth: exchange-traded funds (ETFs), payout market and international distribution.

What should you make of it?

It's not cheap, says Karen Finerman, so I wouldn't get on board to buy but I wouldn't short it either.

GE

Sterne Agee analyst Nicholas Heymann raised his rating on GE to “Neutral” from “Sell,” citing the sale of NBC as well as the potential sales of some of its “classic industrial” assets down the road as a sign GE is focusing on its core business.

I think the stock goes to the low 20's over the next few months, Heymann tells the Fast Money desk.

What should you make of it?

I'm bullish with a stop at $17.50, says Joe Terranova.

AUTODESK

Goldman Sachs added Autodesk to its prestigious Conviction Buy List with a price target of $45, citing the potential for a near-term upside surprise.

What should you make of it?

Again, Goldman has been spot on, says Pete Najarian. I think the stock goes over $30.
