David Goodfriend is a lawyer and advocate in Washington, D.C.  He served as Deputy Staff Secretary to President William Jefferson Clinton; professional staff member to congressional committees chaired by Senator Herb Kohl (D-WI) and Charles B. Rangel (D-NY); and Media Legal Advisor to a commissioner at the Federal Communications Commission. 

In the private sector, David was Vice President of Law and Public Policy at DISH Network, co-founder of Air America Radio, and today is President of Goodfriend Government Affairs and Of Counsel at the law firm of Weiner, Brodsky, Sidman and Kider.  David is a frequent contributor to MSNBC, CNBC, and various other networks.  David received his J.D. from The Georgetown University Law Center and his B.A from Beloit College.  He lives with his wife, Susan Emmer, and sons, Ben and Ari, in Bethesda, Maryland.
