Apple was hardly the only tech titan to report earnings after hours on Tuesday. Get the latest on VMWare Juniper, Yahoo! and more.

- Yahoo!

Yahoo reported quarter earnings that easily beat Wall Street expectations, but the company's sales slid from last year's levels.

Looking at the numbers, the search engine company reported first-quarter earnings of 22 cents a share. Yahoo earned 8 cents a share during the same period a year earlier.

Sales for the most recent quarter fell to $1.13 billion, down from $1.16 billion last year.

The company was seen earning 9 cents a share on revenue of $1.17 billion, according to a consensus from Thomson Reuters.

What’s the trade?

If we don’t see an intra-day reversal in this stock, I’d take profits, counsels Joe Terranova.

I don't agree, says Patty Edwards. If you think CEO Carol Bartz can turn the company around then this may be your buying opportunity.

---------

- VMWare

VMware posted higher-than-expected quarterly profit and issued a revenue outlook ahead of Street projections, citing strong pent-up demand from businesses which held off on buying its software during the recession.

In extended trade, shares of VMWare slipped. VMware's stock has climbed more than 30 percent so far this year, making the company among the most richly valued software makers.

---------

- Juniper

Juniper Networksreported stronger-than-expected results for the first quarter as a recovering economy and growing Internet traffic encouraged phone companies and large corporate customers to upgrade their communications networks.

The company's shares fell over 3 percent after-hours, however, as investors locked in profits following their strong gains in the past few months.

What’s the trade?

Juniper’s numbers just weren’t impressive enough, says Pete Najarian.

I’m a buyer if the stock pulls back to $29, counsels Joe Terranova.

---------

-Seagate Technology

Seagate Technology reported better-than-expected third-quarter profit as spending by its corporate customers picked up, sending its shares up nearly 2 percent in the after market.

---------

-Altera Corp.

Programmable chipmaker Altera posted better-than-expected quarterly results helped by strong sales of new products, and forecast second-quarter revenue above estimates, sending its shares up 6 percent in extended trade.
