The Greener Side of Tech
Taking a look beyond solar companies and for a play that could power up your portfolio, with Michael Mendenhall, HP senior vice president/chief marketing officer.

In September, Newsweek named Hewlett-Packardthe greenest company in America. Whether it’s recycling PCs or reducing packaging material, HP gives its clients what they want: greener computers, greener printers and greener information-technology solutions.

That’s all well and good, but Cramer would never recommend a stock solely because its underlying company is environment friendly. His praise for HP’s green tendencies comes on top of its already market-leading position in PCs, printers and servers just as both consumers and corporations are spending more on these products.

And top player or not, Hewlett-Packard is still taking share. The company enjoys a significant amount of recurring revenue, a great brand and a strong balance sheet. Plus, HP has pushed through some aggressive cost cuts, and Cramer rates its management team as among the best in the business.

For a closer look at the Hewlett-Packard, and for a serious look at how those green initiatives are benefiting the bottom line, Cramer invited Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer Michael Mendenhall onto Mad Money. Watch the video for the full interview.
