Ear To The Wall: Hedge Fund Hot Picks

Over the last 12 month picking winners was a little like stealing candy from a baby. Just 25 stocks in the S&P 500 fell in the period.

But the tide is turning.

If Tuesday’s s drop is any indication trading this market is about to get a lot more difficult.

In fact, some would say, it’s largely a job for the professionals.

And in that spirit we turned to Fast Money friend Whitney Tilson of T2 Partners amid his value investing congress in California.

How's Tilson gaming this market?

He’s playing defense by getting long big cap blue chips, which he says “are probably the only stocks in the market that are under-valued.”

Tilson is bullish on Berskhire , Microsoft , Kraft, and Pfizer .

And his latest hot stock is BUD . “We think the stock is a double in the next couple years without any big tailwinds from the recovery.”

If you’re looking for some short ideas Tilson says look at companies with terrible fundamentals and very high valuations such as home builders.
