I thought I understood how dire things were in Europe.

Then I saw it explained by Clarke and Dawe.

Troubling.

John Clarke and Bryan Dawe are a couple of Australian comic actors. They discussed the European debt crisis in what I describe as a cross between a quiz show and Jim Lehrer.

“Roger” is a financial consultant grilled on how much various countries in Europe owe each other.

Greece owes $367 billion. Ireland owes $865 billion. Spain and Italy owe $1 trillion each.

The problem is, they all owe it to each other.

Then it gets really confusing.
