Follow Icahn Into Hain?

Monday, 7 Jun 2010 | 5:45 PM ET

When Carl Icahn buys, the Street notices.

Since he disclosed a position in Hain around May 13th shares of this company have surged higher - over 18%.

In the same period the S&P is down about 5%.

The flurry of buying stems from a belief that Icahn sees untapped value in this organic food and personal care products company.

Icahn Targets Tea Maker
Should you follow activist investor Carl Icahn into Hain Celestial? The company's brands include Celestial Seasonings, Health Valley and Terra Chips. Irwin Simon, CEO of Hain Celestial, joins the Fast Money crew.

Should you follow Icahn in, too?

Jefferies analyst Scott Mushkin seems to think so. He has a 'Buy' rating on the stock and in a note to clients he says Hain remains undervalued and has unrecognized brand value.

"Hain sits atop some very valuable assets. Our sum-of-the-parts analysis for Hain has always suggested a value at least in the mid-20’s, " he writes.

What else must you know about this company. Find out from Hain CEO Irwin Simon. Watch the video now!
