Thursday, 1 Jul 2010 | 6:04 PM ET

Following are the day’s biggest winners and losers. Find out why shares of Nokia and FedEx popped while Sunoco and Dendreon dropped.

FedEx (FDX) popped 2%: The transportation giant receiving an upgrade to buy from neutral at UBS. UBS stating that the company's shares are at a good price after two years of earnings declines. There might be another day of upside, but Guy Adami of Drakon Capital doesn't see FDX rallying much more.

Carnival Cruise Lines (CCL) popped 3%: Carnival continuing its rally after Moody's raises its outlook for the company on improved demand and pricing earlier this week. Retirees are still going on vacations, says Patty Edwards of Storehouse Partners. At the current levels, she is bullish.

DROPS (stocks that slid lower)

Sunoco (SUN) dropped 5%. The petroleum refiner fell 5% as the price of crude plummeted. Despite a rotation out of the sector, Joe Terranova staying with this and other refiners.

Dendreon (DNDN) dropped 6%: The biotech falling as the US government said it would begin a coverage analysis on whether the drug company's expensive immunotherapy treatment for prostate cancer is "reasonable and necessary." Steve Grasso of Stuart Frankel recommends staying away from this sector because of the government regulation.
