Quiksilver Resources (KWK) popped 17%. The Texas based independent energy company rallied amid talks of a buyout or partnership with Reliance Industries. - If you're in the name, I'd take off half, says Joe Terranova.

Apollo Group. (APOL) popped 5%. This firm and its rivals climbed amid reports that new rules governing for-profit education might not be as restrictive as first believed. - I'd stay away, counsels Guy Adami.

DROPS (stocks that slid lower)

Airlines (XAL) dropped 1%. Investors punished all the airlines after Delta’s outlook raised concerns about demand for travel. - I like the macro-trends in the airlines, admits Anthony Scaramucci.

Silver Wheaton (SLW) dropped 4%. The mining company which generates revenue primarily from the sale of silver saw shares drop today after silver’s price fell sharply. - The market may be telling us something, speculates Brian Kelly.
