Fast Money 360: eBAY

Considering shares of eBay are down about 22% over the last 3 months, how should you game this stock ahead of earnings, Wednesday?

Seems like a good time for Fast Money 360.

Find out what fundamentals, technicals and insights from the options world all suggest lie ahead for this stock.

FUNDAMENTALS

Colin Gillis of BGC sees eBay as kind of like that movie, “The Good, The Bad & The Ugly.”

”The good is PayPal, internet payments are still getting stronger,” he explains “The bad is the market place, the turnaround that's still happening there, and the ugly is the stock price, this has been the worst performer in our space.”

With more ugly than good Gillis admits, “we're still on the sidelines, we see no catalysts until they get the marketplace turned around.”

CHARTS

Carter Worth of Openheimer is equally negative.

“We're a seller of eBay going into earnings.” He describes the action in the stock as poor and patterns in the charts suggest to him it's headed to the high teens.

In conclusion Worth has one word for investors, ‘Sell.’

OPTIONS

Jon Najarian of Optionmonster.com reveals that options action suggests the stock could make a big move post earnings.

“It’s pricing in about a 10 percent move post-earnings,” he says “I actually think it could move to the upside, but I’m only holding on, I’m not buying.”
