Non-financial US companies held $1.84 trillion in cash this past quarter—the highest level in half a century—so when corporations gain more confidence in the economy, Jon Najarian of optionMONSTER.com thinks advertisers will be among the biggest beneficiaries.

Advertisers could soon have the "mother of all rallies," says Najarian, thanks to the upcoming election season. Najarian thinks both political parties will spend a lot of money on advertisements leading up to the midterm elections. That's why he's looking at both Omnicom Group and Wausau Paper .

Ad to Cart?
A look at whether ad spending will boom ahead for midterm elections, with Jon Najarian.

Because Texas should be home to several hotly contested political races, Brian Kelly of Kanundrum Capital is looking at Belo . The Dallas-based television company owns stations around the Lone Star State, which he thinks could benefit from the additional advertising.

Najarian adds that as the car companies continue to improve, they may also start to advertise more. He lists General Electric , CBS , News Corp. and Walt Disney Co. as derivative plays.

"Take a look at all those because I think they're the beneficiary of additional ads spent," he says.
