Tired of losing sleep over short-term stock market moves? You won’t find a better night’s rest in the bond market.

According to RBS, “A bull-market correction in Treasuries has begun.”

According to Richard Volpe RBS anticipates a trend change after the weekly 10-year note yield formed a “hammer bottom” on Aug. 27, a “classic” indication of a “short term correction.”

RBS expects the correction will last from two to four weeks and counsels investors to wait until the 10-year note yield climbs to 2.87 percent before beginning to buy again.

They go on to say, “the long- term trend for bonds is still bullish, but we need to flare out excesses in bullish sentiment and positioning to get to a more solid footing.”

Next Correction in Treasuries?
Is the bond bull market over? Insight with Richard Volpe, RBC co-head of USD rates.
