What's On: Retail, Halo and the Rise of the Machine

Here's what's up on Tuesday's Squawk on the Street:

--Retail details: Fresh data on the sector is out this morning. On our list: Target, Wal-Mart, Gap, Macy's, JC Penney, Tiffany, Coach and there's a lot more in our bag.

--We also have a couple of earnings this morning, and we have analysts covering those stocks. Watch for numbers from Best Buy and grocery store Kroger.

--The new Halo videogame comes out today. Microsoft makes it, and we're following the stock on the opening day of sales.

--Plus, our special series "Man versus Machine." Are humans better traders than machines? The machines seem to be taking over. What does it mean for you and your money? That's also the focus of this morning's Street Poll.

Watch a busy run-up to the opening bell. The action starts at 9 a.m. ET.
