Pops & Drops: Discover Financial, Owens Corning...

Following are moves you might have missed. Find out why shares of Discover Financial and Family Dollar popped while Owens Corning and NRG dropped.

POPS (stocks that jumped higher)

Discover Financial Services (DFS) popped 3%. The company reported a higher-than-expected quarterly profit as charge-offs fell and consumers spent more on their credit cards. - With charge-offs falling I'm bullish, says Tim Seymour.

Stock Pops & Drops
The Fast Money traders take a look at today's biggest market movers.

Bed, Bath & Beyond (BBBY) popped 2%. FBR reiterated a ‘Market Perform’ on the stock citing near-term earnings upside. - No thank you, says Patty Edwards.

DROPS (stocks that slid lower)

Owens Corning (OC) dropped 5%. The company adjusted its outlook lower explaining demand for roofing shingles has fallen steeply in the third quarter. - I'd pass, says Karen Finerman.

International Paper (IP) dropped 6%. A report in a trade paper stated that containerboard producers were backing off from price increases on increased customer resistance. - I think the stock looks attractive, says Pete Najarian.

NRG Energy (NRG) dropped 2%. Deutsche Bank downgraded the company as well as rivals citing weak nat gas prices. - I think we're looking at a double bottom low and I'm a buyer, says Joe Terranova.
