What did Ted Turner do at a 2005 dinner with Jimmy Carter?
In April 2005, Turner attended an arms control conference in Atlanta. In attendance were such world-renowned leaders as former president Jimmy Carter and Soviet Ambassador Anatoli Dobrynin, and Turner scheduled a dinner with the two statesmen. While the two politicians may have been well versed in world affairs, they clearly knew nothing about delightful dinner conversation, and they so bored Turner that in the middle of their discussion he pulled a small television set out of his pocket and started watching baseball.
