Which country consumes the most bottled water per capita?
For years, intrepid tourists have been warned that, should they travel to Mexico, they shouldn't drink the water. Now, thanks to the miracle of bottled water, the people who live there don't have to either. Municipal water utilities in Mexico state repeatedly that their tap water is perfectly safe to drink, but statistics suggest that the population of Mexico simply isn't buying it --- the average person in Mexico consumes 61.8 gallons per year, more than double the 30 gallons per year that Americans drink.
